Q. How do I submit a story?
A.

  1. Copy the direct link of the story that you wish to submit e.g. http://cnn.com/topstory.htm

  2. Register for an account or login if you already have an account by clicking "Login/Register"
  3. Click on the "Submit a story" button
  4. Paste the link that you copied in the first step to the first text Box
  5. Enter a suitable headline. We suggest the headline that is in the story, but you can be
    creative and witty with it if you'd like e.g. "The homie Nick Canon is simpin' with Mariah"

  6. Enter a short description of the story. You can copy in a paragraph from the story if you'd like, or be creative. It's your choice!
  7. If your story is unique (meaning no one else has submitted the same story) you are done.
  8. Go read and vote on upcoming stories

Q. How do I vote?
A.

  1. You have to register or login first.
  2. If you find a story that you like, click the up arrow. on the Vote button.
  3. if you feel a story is irrelevant to the site, vote it down by clicking the down arrow.

Q. I've submitted stories and voted, now what?
A. Comment on stories that you have something to say about. You can speak your mind and say

whatever you want. You can even vote on other peoples comments and they can vote on yours.

Q. What kind of stories do I submit?
A. Two rules :

  1. Stories that have anything to do with black people

  2. The story should fit into one of the main categories

Q. What goes under the Technology category?
A. This is the only category that doesn't have to be related to black media. Submit links to new tech toys or inventions.

Q. What shouldn't I submit?
A. Stories that 100% have nothing to do with black media and cannot in anyway be related to black media (Technology is the only exception)

Q. How can I help?
A. Go to the "Support Black Media" section and post any of the banners on your MySpace page,FaceBook page, personal website, etc. Vote on submissions and start dialogues in the comment sections.

Q. Is it pronounced "Nwar" or "no-ear" or "nor" and what does it mean?
A. Noir is pronounced "Nwahr" and means "black" in French. In our opinion, it is one of the most nicest and elegant ways to say "black"
